PSP = Phantasy Star Portable?
PSP = PlayStation Portable. As we all know. Except, there’s another PSP in the offing. Personally, I don’t think it’ll catch on in that shortened form. This PSP = Phantasy Star Portable – a brand new game set in the Phantasy Star universe, but for the hand-held, as opposed to other consoles. It says that up to 4players can play together using the wireless, but it really doesn’t look anything special. One for the fans, I guess.
Chocobo and the Mysterious Dungeon site is up and running. You will need Flash to view, and it does take one hell of a long wait (I didn’t have the patience to wait for it to load). Apparently it’s got some new infos on a competition (download and colour in your own Chocobo, send it in for a chance to win some Chocobo goods), promo vid (TV ad version) and the original soundtrack. Out 13th this month in Japan, though competition runs ’til 11th Jan.
DQ V 天空の花嫁 (Bride of the Skies) is set to come out next spring, it was announced yesterday. Their official site however, isn’t really up and running yet, though they promise ’soon’. FF IV promo vid is out at their site though.
The Christmas Pack for Folklore (they call it FolksSoul over there) is downloadable until 27th this month for free from the PS Store, but you will need the original game too. Promo vid for Patapon is available now (very much like Loco Roco, except it’s about drums, not rolling :p). The game itself is set to be out in Japan on 20th.
From 11th, we’ll have the ability to give a ‘present’ to a Wii friend via the Wii Shopping Channel. Open the present within 45 days or the Wii points go straight back to the giver. Also on 11th, Super Mario Bros. 3 will be one of the titles available – a classic from the Famicon days. Mario Kart Wii will probably come out between April and June says Nintendo Europe (as if the thought that Super Smash Bros. X was delayed wasn’t bad enough!).
